Bryan Small
Chief Executive Officer
Bryan Small is a motivated and results-oriented consultant with 13 years combined experience in organization design, strategic planning, human resources, training, and management. He has the ability to communicate effectively and has created buy-in across diverse populations. Bryan graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Public Policy degree. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston in May 2014.
Small has established strong relationships with business and tribal leaders throughout Indian Country. As CEO of ACT Holdings, LLC, Bryan designed and implemented a plan for a retail operation that resulted in an increase in net profit of over 100%. He established the first business, Ochana Industries, LLC under the ACT Holdings, LLC umbrella. While leading Ochana Industries, LLC he implemented a business development infrastructure in the tribal and federal marketplaces. In addition, Ochana Industries, LLC won over $2 million in federal contracts in the first quarter of 2017.

His passion is building organization capacity, growing strong economies, and advancing asset-based community development. Small has been a recipient of a variety of awards including the NCAIED Native American 40 Under 40 Award in 2015.

Christopher Shrum
Consultant
Christopher Shrum is an innovative and strategic organizational leader with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and public sectors, Chris has focused on the philanthropic community, community economic development, and the arts. He is directly responsible for over $150 million in grants and philanthropic giving, leveraging over $250 million in additional investment. Shrum has significant expertise in organizational turnarounds, fund development, community process, program evaluation, workforce investment, marketing, and finance.
Shrum has a PHD in Human and Organization Systems from Fielding Graduate University. Christopher also earned his Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit Management from New York University. He formerly led government relations, public sector funding, and organization development for a $100 million healthcare system. Chris has demonstrated excellent leadership and lectured in many Universities since 1993. In addition, Christopher has received many awards, including the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Tourism, Arts, Heritage, and the Cultural Community in 2002. |
